Timothy "Tim" Barber
Timothy Barber has over 30 years of management experience. He founded Robey-Barber Insurance Services, Inc. which rose to the top twenty of the nation's third-party insurance administration companies. He joined the Altorr team with the vision of bringing freedom and independence to the elderly and disabled populations. His involvement in this company is a natural extension of the philanthropic work that he's done in the community for many years. He has previously served as the President of the Board of Trustees for Easter Seals (a charity in which he is still an active member) and he is currently serving as Chairman of the All Children's Hospital Board of Trustees where he has played a vital role in the merger with Johns Hopkins Medicine. He is the father of 7 children, which he counts as the most important and treasured role that he plays.
Timothy graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Ferris State University.
Bradford "Brad" Clough
Chief Technical Officer
Brad Clough has over 30 years of experience in Software Development. Coming from a long lineage of inventors, Brad is passionate in developing software and wireless protocols for the elderly and severely disabled, especially for the young Veterans living with disabilities from the Afghanistan and Iraq conflict. With that in mind, he is in the process of developing some of the most exciting leading edge voice control technology. Brad has been a Senior Software Engineer for Andersen Technology Solutions, Sun Solaris and Catalina Marketing Corporation where he managed the full cycle of software development. He worked several years with Decision Consultants (DCI) where he was responsible for designing and developing a set of Visual Basic development tools. All Visual Basic development at the Energy Control Center is accomplished with the use of these tools. He was the Project Manager for Florida Power Corporation when they were rewriting several of their primary applications. These applications were Florida Power’s first effort in Object Oriented design and development. His accomplishments are many and the list of his pending and patented ideas is extensive. A graduate of Bolton Institute of Technology (UK), he is also a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. He is a pilot and the owner of Aircraft.
Chief Intellectual Property Officer/Secretary
Michael Smith has 30 years of experience in the computer industry, in intellectual property and software development.
He is managing partner at Ramirez and Smith which represents NASA and General Electric Company in patent preparation and prosecution and is currently negotiating approx $400 mil of patent asset licenses. He has been named co-counsel in lawsuits at the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is former inhouse counsel at Research in Motion (makers of Blackberry smartphones) where he analyzed infringement of patents by competitor products and technical standards and supervised $2 mil of annual activity by outside counsel.
He is a major shareholder and director of Proactive IP LLC a patent holding and licensing organization, Orthopedics IP LLC a medical orthopedics CAD/CAM developer, JMJ Software LLC an email software developer, Plug It Up LLC a consumer products mass market R&D organization, S-trap LLC a woman's clothing designer and Proedo LLC a real estate management company.
He has a B.A. in Computer Science, a M.B.A and J.D. He is the lead co-chair of the Austin, TX chapter of the Licensing Executives Society. He is an avid skier and sailor.
